At the end of my studies, I started a freelance status in order to be able to receive graphic design requests in a professional context. So I met the author Charles Raisin, of a book on a religious theme: Dans la tête de Dieu, Religions, Fin des mensonges (In the God's head, Religious, End of lies). He asked me to design the cover of his book first, then two advertisements for Parisian RER stations.
To begin with, we exchanged ideas on how to produce the images. After explaining his project to me, I started looking for inspiration through images on internet.
We worked with a succession of exchanges and steps that enabled us to achieve the customer's desired objectives.
The idea behind the cover was to consider the object of the book as a guide for believers or non-believers, as an object that accompanies readers, hence the idea of using the hands as if they were holding the book.
Then came the production of posters for Parisian RER platforms, following the same process.
The idea was to present the difficult journey to heaven or hell, and for the other, a quiet discussion in a tea room to give a peaceful tone.
